United States Cuba Relations: Disconnect Radio TV Marti – Reconnect the American People

Radio TV Marti had its day of reckoning in the U.S. Senate. The Senate Foreign Relations Committee disclosed what everyone already knew – Radio TV Marti does not work and is a waste of taxpayer money, a special interests welfare program for the hardline Cuban American community in South Florida. Reason and logic prevailed over pandering. Save the taxpayer and stimulate the economy – Lift the travel restrictions for all Americans – allow more trade. We can only help Cuba when we can reconnect with them. Besides, the onus will then be on Cuba. Will Cuba block regular normal U.S. television and radio programming in an atmosphere of normal relations?
