I had the opportunity to meet personally with Senator Schumer yesterday, Saturday, in New York. He was quite upset and frustrated as to what happened in the NY Philharmonic Cuba travel snafu. While he is courageously fighting to get all Americans health insurance coverage, his experience with the Cuba travel controversy now personally motivated him to take more direct action. He told us he supports travel for all Americans to Cuba and the lifting of all travel restrictions and would make that clear to the powers that be. He also indicated he would cosponsor S. 428, The Freedom to Travel to Cuba Act. Thank you Senator Schumer! - TM
